Meet The Chef

Chef Peter McCaffrey is a Senior Consultant at Certified Catering Consultants and Culinary Director of Leading Caterers of America.

 

Chef Peter was for many years a prominent and successful chef/owner of Wine Valley Catering located in the Napa Valley and San Francisco. Clients included Opus One, Mr and Mrs Robert Mondavi, Google, Yelp and the City of San Francisco. His company provided F&B services to the prestigious Villagio and Vintage Inn in Yountville, CA. 

 

Chef Peter is a graduate of the California Culinary Academy. After graduation, he spent time at some of the most renowned restaurants in France and Monaco, working under Chefs Alain Ducasse at Louis XV and Alain Senderens at Lucas Carton. He also was instrumental in the opening of the Portman Hotel in San Francisco and as well as, The Palace Hotel, an  iconic landmark in San Francisco.  Other stops along the way included the Lafayette Hotel in Boston and Wyndham Virgin Grand on St. Thomas. He had the privilege of participating  in one of the first James Beard Dinner's in Napa Valley, CA with well-known Chefs Charlie Trotter, Jan Birnbaun, Gerhard Michler, Gerry Klaskala and Fred Halpert.

 

Peter lives in Napa Valley, CA along with his wife and two daughters. He's passionate about mt. biking, yoga and coaching soccer as well as anything related to food and cooking!
